Greene Countrie Towne, by F. R. Harris.
F.R. Harris was teacher, principal and superintendent of the Greenfield School. He was also a world traveler. His history of Greenfield is considered a definitive look at the town as it progressed from unknown territory to a small town in the 1880's. He used many sources, including earlier histories of Highland County and oral histories he collected. He did an excellent job of describing Greenfield and the community's reaction to major historical events of the time period covered in this book. (6"w x 9"h; hardcover) |
