Volunteer Session - October 14, 2015

Scott Andersen and John King worked about 4 hours on October 14 to rebuild an above ground box. It had collapsed and the huge base had to be lifted up a few inches to get it to the surface and leveled before the side walls could be placed and the massive top. Venus Andersen also came for a while and helped us search for stone fragments for another marker we found. Gloria Losey was driving by and saw the activity and stopped by with words of encouragement.

More sessions will be planned for the future to continue this massive effort. If you would like to participate, give the Society a call and check our website calendar.

Here's what we started with.

John exposing the base.

Base was raised and then leveled.

Side and end walls beginning to be re-installed.

Sides and ends in place and now ready for the top.

Don't even ask!

Work completed!

Scott also completed repairs on this stone. The base was donated by Jay Hardy.
