Volunteer Session - June 28, 2017

What a beautiful day to continue work on the cemetery. Scott and Venus Andersen, John King, Mike Anderson, Melanie Peters and Diana Zimmerman spent almost 7 hours straightening a number of stones, cleaning stones, repairing stones and attempting to identify burials by studying the very worn inscriptions. We thank them all for making such a difference in the cemetery. Harold Schmidt and Shirley Shields also stopped by with words of encouragement!

Many thanks to ALL the volunteers who help throughout the years making this a very successful project.

More sessions will be planned for the future to continue this massive effort. If you would like to participate, give the Society a call and check our website calendar.

After much cleaning and studying, this marker was determined to be that of Isaac S. Smith, son of Samuel & Sarah, d. Feb. 10, 1837, a. 11ds. Can you read it?
